I could already tell how much walking this trip was going to involve. Even after the first day I had put in nearly double my daily steps. We started out our second day with a walking tour guide showing us through the city. This was a great opportunity for me to exercise my interest in street photography (shown left). There's just something about images of strangers that invoke curiosity.
Our afternoon consisted of visiting the Bascilica di San Marco. This was the first time I had been in a cathedral of this size and was astonished at the intricate artistry that covered the walls and ceiling. Considering that every inch was covered and had a different representation of something, I can't imagine the amount of work and time that was put into this marvel.
