Our fourth day was an early start as we were headed to our next destination of interest: Florence. We left the hotel in Venice by 8:30 and took a water taxi towards the train station. We then took a train across the water where our bus was waiting. The journey through the countryside was spectacular. Having spent the last four year in Florida, hills were not in my daily sights. We stopped for lunch at an Autogrill; a rest stop position above the road.
Our arrival in Florence began with parking the bus on a bridge to offload in a militant, orderly fashion. Our hotel, the Hotel Silla, was not quite ready yet, so we had some rest on the balcony. Since we had just arrived in Florence, this was a slower day with more time for exploration (and street photography!).
